There is an important job shortage in the nation today, even among those who have high end certifications. As you've probably figured out, despite having the education, you might still end up working at the local fast food joint. In some cases it seems to be a matter of who you know rather than establishing your own reputation and getting into the company you actually want to be in. Fortunately, there are a few things that you could try.
If you have have been struggling to find some good jobs, then perhaps you should consider looking into getting a
Federal medical job. Lots of candidates would rather not have anything to do with the government, but frankly it is one of the largest hubs for health caremedical jobs currently. With this in mind, let's take a look at some of the positions that may be open at the moment.
There is the Department of Health and Human Services that may employ you in the Public Health Corps. There are 11 branches to work for, including the FDA. Doctors in all fields are needed for this gig, so if you want some fun and decent pay, then it would to your advantage to check out this opportunity.
The Military also always needs healthcare employees. Typically you will find that doctors are in demand in larger hospitals, or even directly on site. You might consider joining the military and take their training, but if you are already highly experienced, then you can simply get in as a civilian.
The Department of State is yet another agency that always needs physicians of some type. Some of their staff have to leave the country pretty regularly and they will need personal doctors on staff. This is a high profile job, and as a result the requirements will be through the roof.
Uncle Sam has also created some health caremedical programs for the elderly, and these are Medicare. Nurses are always needed in these organizations, and if you have ever served in the government before, this migh be an easy catch for you. Well, at least the hiring part will be smooth, we cannot speak for the rest of it.
As the previous paragraphs can attest, there are plenty of
Federal jobs out there, but they are probably in places that you didn't think to look. Once you figure out where you want to work and what position you need, a new world of possibilities will be open to you, and you will have more chances landing your dream job.
