Including non-work related examples in your KSA answers

by fred 15. April 2009
When preparing a KSA answer, you need to include real-life examples of situations related to the KSA question. Job applicants usually focus on their previous work experience to find these examples but you can actually look for examples outside of work. It is indeed accepted to use examples from not only trainings but also from volunteer work, hobbies or even awards. Obviously, you should make sure that these examples are related to the questions and morally acceptable. For example, things like volunteering for the Red Cross will look pretty good in your KSA answer. The advantage of using these areas outside work, is that it will extend your field as to finding the most appropriate example to write a good KSA answer.
